    After speaking at the medical school in Mangalore, India, in 1992 I stopped at the mission hospital in Miraj to visit a former student and was introduced to the Bishop of Nagpur. We talked of the work done for children paralysed by poliomyelitis at facilities that had formerly been used for patients with advanced leprosy.
