End of term should be a joyous occasion, yet for some reason it is not. Instead people seem belligerent. They are snappish with their families and flatmates, and don't stop to chat with their colleagues. Even as Christmas approaches we see this kind of conduct.
The reason is, of course, that they have essay and report deadlines.
