Figure1 Formation of the study population.
(F1) Formation of the study population. In the screening phase (phase 1), participants scoring £ 24 in the mini-mental state examination (MMSE) were invited to the clinical phase (phase 2) consisting of medical history, neurological and cardiovascular examinations, and detailed neuropsychological evaluation. Participants with possible dementia were invited to the differential diagnosis phase (phase 3), which included magnetic resonance imaging, blood tests, chest radiograph, electrocardiogram, and cerebrospinal fluid analysis
