Responsibility for public health should remain at health department

Public health should remain the responsibility of the Department of Health, said the secretary of state for health for England, Alan Milburn, said last week.
Mr Milburn was addressing the parliamentary health committee, which is undertaking an inquiry into public health. The minister for public health, Yvette Cooper, was also present.
