So a little research fraud gets you suspended from the register for a
year does it?? What happens when the research is implemented in practise
and that research was based on fabricated evidence and people start to die
as a result, will that be yet another smack on the wrists, with the GMC
telling the doctor what a naughty boy/girl they are?
This is an extraodinary set of events that should have had the
maximum punishment, STRUCK OFF FOR LIFE. I can't believe how such a
dangerous practise is treated with such contmept, there again what more
can we expect from the GMC.
Dr Wilmshurst is an absolute breath of fresh air, this man should be
elevated onto that pedastal so many beneath his integrity have placed
thenmselves on. Brave, outspoken, passionate and a consumate professional.
It is men like him that will lead the new NHS, it is doctors like him that
will change the face of medicine making it honest and transparent and he
did it long before we screamed for it, so he is the trend setter rather
than the fashion follower. I hope that should I get heart disease (looking
increasingly likely with the effort it takes to fight bad doctors and get
them bought to book, you'll all be pleased to hear!) I am making my way,
come hell or high water even if I have to crawl there, to Shrewsbury
Hospital where for once I KNOW I will be in safe and capable hands, with
the only possibility of anything going wrong would be because of human
error, rather than out and out incompetence or corruption. To that end I
and many others will be asking for government for appropriate recognition
of this brave and dedicated man.
Conflict of interest.........probably going to have a stress related
