“War of liberation” needed to fight battle against AIDS

Many young people living in countries where HIV is prevalent are still ignorant about how the virus is transmitted and how to protect themselves from infection, according to a report from the United Nation's Children's Fund.
If they are to defeat AIDS, these countries need to organise themselves as though they were fighting “a full blown war of liberation” with all resources ploughed into preventative strategies and young people leading the way, said Carol Bellamy, Executive Director of UNICEF.
