The real ethics of rationing
Editor,
I read this "digest" prepared by Linda Beecham with initial interest but
ultimately dismay.
For those who choose to read this letter I would simply draw
attention to
the very excellent article by Professor Donald W Light (BMJ vol 315, pp
112 - 115, 12 July 1997) Titled "The real ethics of rationing".
The article raises many relevant questions which remain germane to
the
present day and, maybe, is worthy of greater debate than it generated at
the
time of writing.
