A league table that ranked Manchester's health services as the worst in Great Britain, and Oxfordshire's as the best, has been condemned as misleading by NHS management leaders. The comparative survey of the 120 health authorities or boards in England, Wales, and Scotland was compiled by the King's Fund, an independent health research charity, and Channel Four television.
