EU examines accuracy of tests for genetically modified foods

The European Union has moved a step closer to being able to show when genetically modified material has been added to what people eat. It has just completed an international validation programme, the first of its kind for processed food, aimed at harmonising testing standards for genetically modified organisms across Europe.
