The first major decision by Northern Ireland's new health minister has generated considerable political controversy. Bairbre de Brun, the Sinn Fein representative for Catholic west Belfast, announced last week that regional maternity services were to be moved from the city's Jubilee Hospital to the Royal Group of hospitals site in west Belfast.
