GPs' reaction to pay award
The chairman of the BMA's General Practitioners Committee, Dr John Chisholm, called the 2000 report of the Doctors' and Dentists' Review Body “a mark time report.”
The review body said that it needs more evidence and information on the effect of health service reforms on GP's motivation,workload,recruitment, and retention. It wants more negotiations on the prioritisation of non-capitation based payments, which the GPC believes is essential to protect the incomes of doctors with low list sizes.
