Missed GP appointments cost NHS money

An estimated £150m ($240m) worth of appointment time is lost each year because of the patients in the United Kingdom who fail to keep appointments with their GPs, according to a survey by the Doctor Patient Partnership (DPP).
The DPP, which was set up to encourage better communication between patients and healthcare professionals and promote the responsible use of NHS services, has launched its latest campaign, “Keep it or cancel it.” …
