Multiprofessional working and learning is dreadful jargon, but achieving it will be important if the NHS is to provide integrated care for patients across organisational boundaries. One of the last acts of the Standing Committee on Postgraduate Medical and Dental Education (SCOPME) has been to produce a report on the subject. The results suggest that where there is trust, respect, and good relations between different health disciplines, multiprofessional working and learning happens already. There are rather fewer suggestions about reversing situations where that happy state of affairs does not prevail.
