    A campaign has been launched in Brussels to ban the use of silicone implants throughout the European Union.

    The initiative is being led by a British Labour MEP, Bill Miller. He argues that existing EU legislation on medical devices which includes a list of substances and other items that are banned could be extended and used to outlaw the implants.
