China moves to change policy on child quotas

A joint project between the United Nations and China is now under way in selected areas of the country that will replace the controversial system of birth quotas and enforced birth limits. The pilot project will replace quotas with sex education programmes and provide full information on contraceptives and sexually transmitted diseases.
