    Editor—Josefson reported the decision by the US Food and Drug Administration's advisory committee not to support approval of the transmyocardial revascularisation heart laser system (PLC Systems).1 2 We are writing to reinforce the need to support the British randomised controlled trial of this and similar technologies.
