Editor–I welcome C L Morgan and colleagues' paper on the effectiveness of the BBC's 999 training roadshows on cardiopulmonary resuscitation and recognise the importance of learning from its findings.1 As the authors state, the research was carried out after the roadshows in 1994 and provided valuable information to allow the content of the course to be altered and the training to be improved for the roadshows in 1995 and 1996.
