Dutch consultants are to unite

Four organisations representing 80% of the 13 000 medical consultants in the Netherlands are to unite in the face of what they call politicians' “scant understanding” of the problems facing specialist care.

The consultants have banded together out of fear that a so called “English situation” could arise, with long waiting lists and the start of a two tier system.
