Amnesty highlights doctors' duty to report torture

Amnesty International is calling on the World Health Organisation and other international medical associations to take a more proactive stance in combating human rights abuses. In a report drawing examples from 12 countries, the human rights organisation concludes that doctors have a duty to report and oppose torture or other ill treatment wherever they find it, even at personal risk to themselves.
