EDITOR,—A Simon Carney and the Junior Doctors Committee must think that those of us who do not agree with them are working in the dark ages. According to Carney's letter, we are still doing unnecessary operations till the early hours of the morning.1 I cannot remember the last time I had to operate after midnight other than in life threatening cases.
