    A year ago today I placed my signature at the end of an 11-page contract tying me into a jobsharing partnership. My other half (actually three fifths) and I had met at a party. Small talk quickly turned serious when we discovered that the amount I wanted to take on exactly equalled the amount which she, after 25 years in singlehanded practice, wanted to drop.
