AIDS rates rise in younger groups

The incidence of AIDS has fallen in older white men in the US but has rapidly increased among those born after 1960 and among ethnic minority groups, according to a study in this week's edition of Science. An estimated 3% of black men and 1% of black women in their 30s in the US were infected with HIV as of January 1993.
