Randomised double blind comparison of terbinafine and itraconazole for treatment of toenail tinea infection

Two editorial errors and an author's error occurred in this paper by M Brautigam et al (7 October, pp 919-22). The legends to figures 1 and 2 are transposed; the P value in figure 2 is 2P<0.01 [not 2P<0.05]; and the first sentence of the Patients and methods section should read, “The study was performed in men and women aged 18 or over who had a clinical diagnosis of distal subungual or proximal onychomycosis and a growth of dermatophytes in a mycological culture up to 12 weeks before [not after] the start of the treatment.”
