Ethical debate: Financial ties as part of informed consent to postmarketing research

The contributions to this debate by R E Ferner and Malcolm VandenBurg and Ian Dews (24 June, pp 1660-3) contained an error in the references. The second author of the guidelines on safety assessment of marketed medicine (references 2 and 1 respectively) should be the Royal College of General Practitioners not the Royal College of Physicians.
