    Where were you when Kennedy was shot? Or when Neil Armstrong landed on the moon? And where were you when the ceasefire was declared? I was sitting in my garden under an old yew, which I reckon by its girth is about four hundred years old and was probably around before the whole thing started, when an equally ancient neighbour told me the news I never thought I would hear.
