Nicotine is addictive, says advisory panel in US

The US took a step closer to regulating cigarettes last week when an advisory panel of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said that nicotine is addictive. The panel had been asked to determine whether nicotine is addictive, whether an addictive threshold exists, and, if so, what that threshold is.
