Report calls for collaboration on genome research

The British human genome mapping project has enormous potential for the improvement of health and wealth creation, according to a report from the Advisory Committee on Human Genome Research. “We predict that the increased knowledge of basic biology will eventually transform medical practice,” say the authors.
