Re: Vitamin B12 injections: considerable source of work for the district nurse.

As a patient with neurological symptoms of Vitamin B12 deficiency, for which the recommended treatment is injections every other day until there is no further improvement, I am surprised that no mention is made of teaching patients to self inject? Surely this has the potential to significantly reduce nurse appointments and save money whilst giving patients a convenient option with much more control over their own health.
