Professor Hans Kromhout, an occupational hygiene and epidemiology specialist, has been appointed as the new Editor-in-Chief of Occupational & Environmental Medicine, one of more than 70 specialist journals published by BMJ.
Professor Kromhout will take up his post in June, succeeding Malcolm Sim, who has been Editor-in-Chief since 2013.

I feel honoured to be instrumental in providing a platform for it by leading this outstanding journal.”
Responding to the appointment, Dr Allison Lang, Publishing Director at BMJ, said: “Professor Kromhout is a well respected expert in his field, who shares our passion for supporting healthcare professionals in improving patient outcomes.
