International Forum on Quality & Safety in Healthcare
24 - 26 August 2017, Kuala-Lumpur
Join over 1,300 healthcare leaders in Kuala-Lumpur at the most talked-about event for healthcare improvement in Asia: the 2017 International Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare.
After a hugely successful event in Singapore last year, the theme for 2017 is "Aim. Act. Achieve."
Over three dynamic days, there will be an exciting schedule of keynote speakers and over 40 sessions across five streams that will focus on practical tools and ideas to inspire continuous quality and safety improvement for patients and communities worldwide.
Headline sessions will include:
* Caring for an older population
* What does it meant to have a good death?
* How to rediscover joy in work
* How to rethink the role of primary care
* Medication safety and how it can be achieved
Over 300 new research projects will also be presented at this year’s event - clear evidence of the exceptional work taking place across the region to improve the quality and safety of patient care.
They include strengthening quality in health care to leave no-one behind; utilising information from patient experience to guide quality improvement, addressing health problems that affect older people, and improving medication safety.
The International Forum is jointly organised by BMJ and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI). Both organisations are committed to improving healthcare and outcomes for patients and communities.
Ashley McKimm, Head of Innovation and Improvement and Director of the Asia Forum, says: "This exciting event will bring top speakers, healthcare leaders, visionaries and practitioners from the region and all over the world, to showcase, discuss and exchange the latest thoughts, solutions and best practice on quality and safety improvement."
