Professor Phil Smith MD, FRCP, FAcadMEd is a hospital consultant (since 1992) and honorary professor in neurology in Cardiff, UK. Previous posts include: President of both the Association of British Neurologists (2015–17) and the UK Chapter of the International League Against Epilepsy (2008–11). Professor Smith has the main interest in epilepsy and blackouts but has experience across the whole of clinical neurology. He also has a strong interest in medical education and leads undergraduate written assessments for the Cardiff School of Medicine.
