As an Account Manager for Healthcare in the Americas, Joe thrives in identifying customer needs and building customer value and consensus. He is a strategic and skilled Relationship Manager with 10+ years of sales experience focusing on collaborating with customers to create a plan to best achieve their desired results. Joe is an avid New York (Mets, Giants, Knicks) sports fan and dog lover.
As an Account Manager for Academic institutions in the US, Becky thrives when she can support Librarians in their mission to disseminate knowledge. Becky’s love of Libraries comes from her Grandmother, who worked in public libraries until she was in her 80s. As a Broadway enthusiast, she can often be found belting out Broadway hits, sometimes just to an audience of her three dogs and husband at home.
Julia joined BMJ in November 2023 as our account manager in Latin America, based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She has over 8 years working in the academic publishing industry, with experience managing large consortia deals and institutional accounts in the region. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and dog, travelling and ocean paddling.
For more than a decade, Manisha has been working in different areas of academic publishing, from journal subscription and content discovery to research metrics. How research impacts the lives of people and how that translates to the way they access healthcare is strong focus areas for Manisha. Manisha also has a strong interest in alternative metrics, AI and ML technologies, and big data; she joined BMJ in 2023 to launch BMJ Impact Analytics, a database that enables you to track and share the real-world impact of research.
Sana is passionate about taking a customer-led approach in business in order to provide services that add value. As BMJ's open access lead, Sana is responsible for setting and directing BMJ's open access commercial strategy globally. With over 15 years of experience in creating and developing successful open access programs, Sana has transitioned BMJ's key accounts from subscription business to open access across Europe and beyond.
As the Senior Customer Success Manager for the BMJ Americas team, Ryan is passionate about proving and improving customer value. With a passion for merging the art and science behind marketing, he thrives on seeing customers happy. With over 10 years of experience in STM publishing, Ryan believes that knowledge and sharing knowledge is our human superpower.
Comfort joined the BMJ in April 2023 as the International Clinical Engagement Lead. Prior to this she was a practicing physician; who specialized in acute internal medicine. She is dual-qualified in Law and Medical Ethics and has also spent a significant part of her career managing medical negligence matters as well as contributing to equipping doctors of today to provide the best care possible; she has led on initiatives which focused on reducing medical mistakes, improving diagnostic accuracy and clinical competence. She is committed to supporting organizations and individuals to achieve these shared goals utilizing our clinical solutions. Comfort is also an avid baker and a wannabe chef, and a mother to four children who spends her spare time trying to keep up with them.
As BMJ Americas Manager of Customer and Sales Support, Denise works closely with the Sales team and customers to ensure superior service. Denise has been the Manager of this department since the Americas team was formed. She is passionate about what she does and has personally worked with the majority of our customers. Denise is a gardener, dog lover, and college sports fan.
