Consultant in Sexual and Reproductive Health with an interest in clinical education

Anticipated Start Date:  February 2020

Based at St Cadoc’s Hospital, Caerleon, South Wales

Applications are invited for a part time Consultant in Sexual Reproductive Health with an interest in clinical education, based at St Cadoc’s Hospital.

We are looking for an enthusiastic educationalist to join the team in Gwent. You will have a broad remit of strategic education direction for the clinical staff in the service. In addition,

you will assume the role of Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health General Training Programme Director and have appropriate clinical sessions to support that role. You will be

supported by a Practice Nurse Educator, an experienced sexual health nurse and diploma and letter of competence holder.

 The Health Board actively supports consultant doctors to undertake funded 3 month formal sabbaticals through an annual application process.

 Free parking is available across all Aneurin Bevan University Health Board Sites.

 This position involves Regulated Activity with children and/or adults as defined by the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act (amended by the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012) and

the following checks will be undertaken following any conditional offer:

- an adults and children’s barred list check

Applicants must hold full registration and a licence to practice with the GMC

Candidates for Consultant posts must also be on the GMC Specialist Register (including via

CESR/European Community Rights) or will have a CCT/CESR(CP) date within 6 months of

interview.
