Radiologists with experience/interest in Thoracic and/or Cardiac Imaging and Chest Intervention
Applications are invited from radiologists who have experience/interest in thoracic and/or cardiac imaging, and chest intervention. The successful applicant will have the opportunity for in-house training and work along with our team of eight experienced cardiothoracic radiologists and four cardiologists with imaging interest.
Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital (LHCH) is a successful NHS Foundation Trust, dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiothoracic diseases, with an outstanding group of cardiac and thoracic surgeons, radiologists and chest physicians and cardiologists. Our Trust has its own research department which provides excellent support for those colleagues interested in research and innovation.
This post was created to accommodate for the increase in the demand of imaging studies and chest biopsies, securing an adequate workload to each of the consultants. Our department provides the best technology for cardiothoracic imaging, with three 1.5 MRI and 3T scanners, including a wide bore, 1.5T cardiac optimized Siemens Aera MR scanner and a 3T VIDA Siemens and two dual energy CT scanners, including a Siemens FORCE scanner and it is fully integrated with PACS.
The post holder will be based at the LHCH and general or thoracic sessions at Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital could be explored.
The total sessional commitment would be 10 – 12 PAs for a full time appointee, but applicants who wish to work less than full time are also welcome to apply.
Applicants must hold a certificate of completion of specialist training in radiology (CCST), or equivalent international specialist radiology training certificate.
