University Hospitals Bristol Foundation Trust (UHBFT) is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and clinically focused individual as a Consultant in General Internal and Acute Medicine.

The successful appointee will join the existing dynamic consultant team delivering General Internal Medicine and Acute Medicine who are committed to improving the quality of General Internal and Acute Medical Care to our patients. This post reflects a commitment by the Trust to invest in enhancing the care of our patients over the winter period, with the potential to extend into a substantive commitment.

We are one of the country's largest acute NHS Trusts and have recently opened a new, purpose built Acute Medical Unit with 28 beds and a 6 trollied assessment area, as well as the co-located Older Persons Assessment unit. This is right next to our emergency and radiology departments allowing rapid access to diagnostic facilities and ensuring integration of teams. This post offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated Physician to deliver high quality, effective clinical care in a busy tertiary centre.

Applicants should be on the specialist register for General Internal or Acute Medicine or within 6 months of obtaining their CCT in Medicine at interview.

Associate Specialist pay scale: £56,133 - £92,401. Consultant pay scale: £79,860 - £107,668. Interview date 12/11/19. Job reference – 387-M-1569-MG.
