Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Emergency Medicine with Paediatric Emergency Medicine  at Whittington Health NHS Trust. 

The Emergency Department has a co-located Urgent Treatment Centre, a Clinical Decision Unit and a dedicated Children’s Emergency Department. There is a dedicated imaging suite with “hot-seat” radiology presence during the day and point of care ultrasound, and an Ambulatory Care service for both adults and children. We are a designated Trauma Unit, as part of the North East London and Essex Trauma Network. 

You will join a dedicated and passionate team committed to delivering a first class service in terms of quality, safety, innovation and education. You will have the opportunity to help shape the future direction of the Emergency Department and take part in initiatives to improve emergency care across the whole of the acute pathway. 

The Consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine will work closely with an established consultant colleague to deliver and supervise care in the Children’s Emergency Department, whilst contributing to leadership and out of hours cover of the wider Emergency Department. 

You must be accredited in Emergency Medicine and be on the specialist register or within six months of being admitted to the Specialist Register (at the date of interview), with subspecialty accreditation in Paediatric Emergency Medicine if applying for the paediatric role.
