The London North West Healthcare NHS Trust is investing in the reconfiguration and development of its Dermatology Services. These changes will transform the service offered and deliver a truly integrated approach for the benefit of its patients.

Dermatology is an established and well respected service at the London North West Healthcare NHS Trust. The Trust has been recently awarded University Hospital status after being granted membership of the Association of UK University Hospitals (AUKUH), a key leadership body representing University Hospitals across the UK.

The London North West Healthcare NHS Trust now seeks to recruit substantive Consultant Dermatologists to join the dermatology team. This offers the opportunity to shape and develop the service which supports the population of North West London.

The Trust is seeking full time Consultants but consideration would be given to part time applicants as a job share, or flexible working pattern.

This is therefore an extremely exciting time to join this expanding team and to lead the on-going change process – the Trust invites applications from dedicated, innovative individuals who will, in turn, provide you with a great opportunity for leadership to shape the service of the future.

Our dermatology service is delivered across three sites, Northwick Park, Ealing and Central Middlesex Hospitals. We offer MOHS service at Ealing Hospital and patch testing and Phototherapy across Ealing and Northwick Park Hospitals. We would like the successful candidates to lead the development of the MOHS service and of new innovative service developments, especially in Biologics and inflammatory skin pathways, as well as the Paediatric service.

Northwick Park Hospital hosts the local MDT for all three sites and also the SSMDT with links to Hillingdon and Mount Vernon Hospitals. Successful candidates would be expected to help develop the Skin Cancer service with innovative new technologies. There will be opportunities available to participate in clinical research and to develop academic interests.

We are supported by excellent Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Surgeons, and a dedicated Dermatology Pharmacist who supports the Biologics and systemic service. We have a dedicated Minor Ops Theatre at Northwick Park and Ealing Hospitals, and a dedicated Treatment Room at Central Middlesex Hospital.

LNWH Trust hosts the Imperial Student Teaching Programme and you will be expected to participate in the teaching for Medical Students.

Applicants must have full GMC registration with a licence to practise and be on the Specialist Register in Dermatology including CESR or obtain CCT within 6 months of interview.
