Applications are invited for a full-time (10 PAs) Consultant Psychiatrist in Old Age Psychiatry based at Mossley Hill Hospital. The post involves in-patient and community work in a sector based model.

There are 4 other Consultants in Old Age Psychiatry based at Mossley Hill Hospital, as well as the community mental health teams and 2 wards for older people (one for patients with functional illnesses and one for patients with dementia). The wards, memory service and ECT service are accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatrists. There is a well developed liaison service at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital and we have very close links with the medical services for older people provided there.

There is a thriving postgraduate programme and good opportunities exist for research and career development. Consultants are also encouraged to seek out additional responsibilities within the Trust to promote and develop the services.
