Consultant Paediatrician, Community Child Health (Aberdeenshire)

40 hours per week (10 PA's)
The successful applicant will join a dynamic Community Child Health Department, within a Combined Child Health Service of NHS Grampian.
He/she will join the Team of Consultants, Associate Specialists and Specialty Doctors who provide a range of Community based Paediatric Services to children and young people living in Aberdeenshire. The post holder will visit Orkney 3 times a year to deliver Community Child Health Clinics. Opportunities exist to access additional training and also to develop special interest within the department.
The post offers exciting opportunities to work within Child Development and Neurodisability Services, delivered in community settings, whilst based within the Community Child Health Department at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital. The department are an integral part of Combined Child Health and strong links exist with general Paediatric departments, CAMHS and other Paediatric specialties based in the hospital.

Applicants must hold the MRCP or MRCPCH. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of interview or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR).
