Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist who is dedicated and passionate about improving child and adolescent mental health services for young people with learning disabilities and their families? Are you looking for your next role as a dynamic clinical leader in Child and Adolescent Learning Disabilities Psychiatry in Bristol and South Gloucestershire?

Our CAMHS services in Bristol and South Gloucestershire are part of the Community Children's Health Partnership (CCHP) which includes all community-based children's healthcare services across the area. CCHP is provided by a partnership including Sirona care & health (lead partner), Bristol Community Health CIC, AWP and Barnardo's.

The Specialist Service for Children with Learning Disabilities (Bristol CAMHS LD service) is a well-resourced, experienced multi-disciplinary service comprising a Community Team and an Intensive Positive Behaviour Support (iPBS) Learning Disabilities Service. It is staffed by a Consultant Psychiatrist (this vacancy), Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists, Learning Disabilities Nurses, Support Workers and an Occupational Therapist. The team caseload is varied and we offer an array of core and specialist interventions for our children, young people and families. The service also host an Intensive Positive Behaviour Support Autism Service (iPBS-A) that works with our locality CAMHS teams.

You will join 15 experienced and supportive Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatry colleagues working across 4 community CAMHS teams and 2 Learning Disability CAMHS teams in Bristol and South Gloucestershire, a centralised Triage and Hospital/Urgent Assessment Team and a Tier 4 inpatient unit.

This is a full time post but part time and job share will be considered.
