Consultant in Gastroenterology

Based in the East of England our Trust has two sites for Gastroenterology at Peterborough City Hospital and Hinchingbrooke Hospital.
We currently have posts based at Peterborough City Hospital but will have opportunities for the right candidate on both sites. We are developing collaborative working to provide a high level of care for our patients.
Our JAG accredited Endoscopy Service at Peterborough is a five roomed facility with provision to undertake diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including ERCP, EMR’s and Bowel Screening.
This is an excellent facility for teaching and training lists are run on a regular basis to meet individual needs for both new and developing Endoscopists.
Whilst there is no requirement to participate in the GIM rota, this could be negotiated for the right candidate, you will take part in the developing out of hours GI Bleed Rota which is currently 1 in 7.

You will be required to be on the GMC Specialist Register or be within 6 months of CCT at the time of interview. As such the post holder should be trained in all aspects of Gastroenterology.
