Presidential Research Fellowship - Clinician
Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health

Creative, ambitious and keen to develop transformative research, you will relish this excellent opportunity to drive your academic career to a higher level. As an impressive early career clinical academic, you’ll recognise that securing a Presidential Research Fellowship at the University of Manchester will empower you to unlock your potential. In addition to a good salary for the duration of your Fellowship, you’ll receive several thousand pounds per annum for research support costs and access to key technology platforms. The award will provide you with dedicated research time to pursue outstanding research of international excellence. You can look forward to mentoring and assistance in winning external funding and awards.

As a Presidential Research Fellow, you will support the Faculty’s mission to produce innovative research that benefits society in Manchester, the UK and across the globe. We are recognised as a leading centre of excellence across the biological, medical and health sciences. You will benefit from the distinctively collaborative, partnership approach we have adopted with organizations across the NHS, pharma and third sector. We welcome applications in areas that fit within our Faculty Research Domains and have links to our local NHS Trusts and Health Innovation Manchester (HIMn) Domains.

To join us, you will be a clinician who has already completed a period of post-doctoral research. You’ll bring to the role a sustained record of publication output. Crucially, you will demonstrate the ability to develop a coherent world-leading research programme, with new concepts and ideas to extend intellectual understanding. You have what it takes to organise resources and deliver results to deadlines. The determination to win your own funding will be key to your success.
