An exciting opportunity has arisen within Dermatology Department at Jersey General Hospital. We are looking for a dynamic individual to fill a new permanent post.

The successful candidate must have wide experience in Medical Dermatology and Paediatric Dermatology would be an advantage, you will be expected to cover outpatient general dermatology clinics and inpatient emergency dermatology referrals. Basic dermatological surgical skills are also required. The successful applicant will join the current consultant and the experienced supporting nursing dermatology team in providing Dermatology Services to a population of approximately 100,000.

The position is based in the purpose-built Dermatology Unit at Jersey General Hospital with in-house facilities including: cryotherapy, PUVA, TLO1 therapy, iontophoresis, photodynamic therapy and topical treatments, patch test service and a dedicated minor ops theatre.

There is no on-call commitment and there are opportunities for private work.

The position comprises 10 Pas and has a competitive salary associated with a low tax return.

Continuing development is important and a generous study leave budget can be tailored towards the requirements of the individual, with a purpose built Post Graduate Education Centre equipped to the highest standard.

Full travelling expenses are paid from a UK port of entry, with a generous relocation package available and the appointee may take advantage of Jersey taxation policies. The post attracts residential qualifications and Jersey has excellent affordable private education for children. Under Jersey Law, applicants must possess FULL registration with the General Medical Council and hold a license to practice.
