Junior Clinical Fellow in Neonatal Paediatrics (ST 1-3 level)-2 Posts
Applications are invited for Senior Clinical Fellow posts in Neonatal Paediatrics at ST 1-3 level commencing in September 2019.
Although these posts do not have formal educational approval, the Clinical Fellows have the same opportunities to participate in the educational programmes, training and teaching undertaken by the Deanery approved specialist training doctors.
The posts are intended to provide an opportunity for those aspiring paediatricians/ neonatologists wishing to gain further their neonatal experience especially in a tertiary medical / surgical NICU.
The neonatal unit at the Royal London Hospital provides tertiary medical and surgical neonatal care and has eleven medical intensive care, twelve high dependency and fourteen special care cots; there is close consultant supervision and training is given in all aspects of neonatal intensive care.
There is an active unit academic programme and opportunities to participate in high-quality audit and quality improvement projects.
Eligibility for GMC registration with licence to practice is essential. Prior experience at a middle grade level in a tertiary neonatal unit is desirable.
The rota is a full shift system subject to regular diary monitoring
