Consultant in Otolaryngology
Applications are invited for the above post at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful applicant will join the current consultant post holders and the supporting team in providing an ENT service to a population of approximately 240,000.
The successful candidate will require a dynamic, progressive approach to work in this friendly but challenging Trust. Excellent organisational and service development skills are required to meet the challenges of local and national waiting time targets, and high-quality service delivery. This post is 20% replacement and 80% new and the successful applicant will be expected to provide a general ENT service with, preferably, an interest in Thyroid and Salivary Gland surgery.
The post is a 10 PA post, including 1.5 SPA. Applicants wishing to work part-time or with special requirements will also be considered. Applicants must have full GMC registration, FRCS (or equivalent) and CCT/CESR in Otolaryngology (or be within six months of obtaining CCT/CESR).
As an associate teaching hospital to the University of Sheffield Medical School excellent teaching skills are also desirable.
