Substantive Consultant Ophthalmologist with a special interest in Glaucoma
Applications are invited for one substantive consultant post in Aintree University Hospitals NHS Trust.
The Ophthalmic Department currently has 9 Consultants providing a wide range of services.
Applicants for this post should have a specialist interest in medical and surgical glaucoma and will join a team of ophthalmic Consultants with special interests in medical retina, uveitis, ocular motility, neuro-ophthalmology, glaucoma, retinopathy of prematurity and oculoplastics/ orbits.
The post is a fulltime, comprising 3 glaucoma outpatient clinics 1 laser clinic, 1 acute ophthalmology clinic, I theatre session and 1 flexible session (according to need and resources), attracting 10 p.a.
Clinical sessions are based in a purpose build department in the Elective care Centre for the Trust.
On-call is currently 1:13, shared with St Helen’s Hospital (separate Trust).
