Consultant in Respiratory Medicine
with expertise in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

The Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine with Expertise in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. 

This post is a new post; it is a whole time Consultant in Respiratory Medicine with Expertise in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. 

The appointee will join several other consultants who cater for aspects of COPD. The appointee co-provide, with colleagues, a clinical service in COPD in accordance with clinical and legal requirements, at a standard in keeping with the role of the department as a national and international clinical leader in the field. This will involve participating in a rotating roster, liaising closely with referring physicians in developing a “shared care” ethos. The appointee will participate in and develop clinical and organisational audit and to improve standards of the service wherever possible. 

Applicants are required to be fully registered Medical Practitioners and must be on the GMC’s Specialist Register or be eligible for admission to the Register within six months from date of interview for the post.
