There is support from four Specialist Registrars, one CT1, one F2, one GPST and three F1 junior doctors.  The RUH has a specialist Respiratory Ward with high care unit, a fully equipped lung function laboratory, excellent multidisciplinary support (including Respiratory Nurse Specialists, Medical Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Psychologist and Outpatient physiotherapist) and a Pulmonary Rehabilitation programme.  A number of specialist services are delivered on site including regional Pulmonary Hypertension and CTD-ILD services, a multidisciplinary Bronchiectasis service, EBUS and thoracoscopy.  The department also works with a community based service (IMPACT) that provides nursing & physiotherapy-based care closer to home for patients with COPD and bronchiectasis.
