Sussex Partnership Trust provides mental health, learning disability, prison healthcare and nursing home services to the people of Brighton and Hove, East Sussex and West Sussex and parts of Hampshire and is a Teaching Trust in association with Brighton and Sussex Medical School.

We are part of a wider health and social care network and we work in partnership with our staff, volunteers, education and other agencies. Close links are being developed with the universities and medical school and there is a thriving Sussex wide training scheme in psychiatry.

The Forensic Healthcare Service has extensive experience of providing forensic mental health and prison healthcare across Sussex and we use that experience to continuously improve and develop our services. These include Low Secure Services (Chichester, West Sussex), Medium Se-cure Services (Hellingly, East Sussex), Custody and Court Liaison and Diversion Services across Sussex, Primary care and mental health at HMP Lewes and HMP Ford and our ever developing community forensic outreach and liaison service.

We are also one of 3 national sites to pilot the new Forensic Mental Health Community Service Model (NHSE 2018) across our Forensic Services and as a Trust we also provide Forensic CAMHS community based services.

Due to internal movement we are now looking for a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist who is demonstrably committed to the provision of excellent, leading edge clinical care within community forensic and liaison services. This will be a clinician who is keen to lead collaboratively on providing and developing community services. You will join our team of 13 Consultant Forensic and general adult Psychiatrists.

Our secure services were rated as ‘Good’ during the Trust CQC inspection in 2016 with ‘outstanding’ for effectiveness.
