Consultant Ophthalmologist with specialist interest in Vitreo-retinal
Applications are invited for a 10 PA Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Sussex Eye Hospital commencing as soon as possible. Candidates wishing to work part time will be considered. A sub-specialist interest in Vitreo-Retinal Surgery is required. The Sussex Eye Hospital is a part of Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals Trust and has a complement of 9 Consultant Ophthalmologists. The department provides tertiary care for the region and is a main training centre for KSS School of Ophthalmology. There are bases on both the Royal Sussex County Hospital and Princess Royal Hospital sites. The post may involve working across both sites.
Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals is the regional teaching hospital, providing general acute services to Brighton and Hove and Mid Sussex and tertiary services for patients across Sussex and the south east of England. Working as one hospital across two sites in Brighton and Haywards Heath, we treat over half a million patients a year.

Please be aware you only have 12 months from your CCT to join the specialist registrar otherwise you will have to go through the CESR Route.
